Publishers and Designers: I’m always on the lookout for new board games and card games to try. I enjoy mid- to heavy- strategy games (bonus for those that play well at 2 players). In addition, I play games with my children, ages 9 and 6. They enjoy a range of games, but in general light- to mid-weight family games are appropriate.

Would you like me to try your game? I am open to accepting review copies of established games, and am also willing to preview upcoming games. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you think your game would be a good fit.

Here’s what I’ve been up to lately:

It’s hard to find a family game that both my kids are equally enthusiastic about, but Iliteratti hit that sweet spot. Pure magic! We finally got to try the Leaders of the New Dawn expansion for Beyond the Sun. And my first impression of it was a bit lukewarm. Our first fight against illiteracy was a smashing success! Our books we bound and the Illiterati were thwarted. If you’ve ever wondered if it’s possible to combine trick taking and social deduction, the answer is yes! Inside Job was a wonderful surprise. We got in 4 rounds last night and tried a few different roles. This is a fun one and I expect it’ll show up at our camping trip… I love word games! Do you? Another gigantic Kickstarter box arrived recently. Moonrakers: Titan Edition is enormous but it still fits on a Kallax. I appreciate this so much and wish more big boxes would be designed this way… *cough* Everdell *cough* TREKKING THROUGH HISTORY REVIEW I learned and played a new game this afternoon. It was a nice way to begin the week. What’s your favorite family game? Is it on this shelf?
